Child's Pose
Camel
- Begin by kneeling
- Take both hands and place them on the small of your back
- With your fingers pointing down, push your hips forward and lift your chest to the sky
- Arch your back and keep your head looking up
- If you want a challenge, keep arching back until you can grab your ankles with each hand!
Upward Dog
- Begin by lying flat on your belly with your chin resting on the floor
- Place your hands on each side of your chest with your palms facing down
- Breathe in and push your hands up so your arms are straight
- Arch your back and focus on trying to lift your hips and thighs off the floor
- Breathe out and slowly lower back down
- Fun fact: Upward Dog looks a lot like Snake pose!
Twist
- Begin by lying flat on your back with your arms spread out to the sides like a “T”
- Bend your right knee while keeping your left leg straight on the floor
- Take your right knee and slowly begin to twist it over your left leg
- Your right knee should look like an arrow pointing to the left!
- Repeat Twist pose with the opposite leg
