Men, it’s time to take action! While June is Men’s Health Month, it’s important to keep your health a priority year round. Men’s health is not just a “man problem.” Your health and wellbeing impacts the people you love and who love you, so it’s important to take charge by making healthy lifestyle decisions!
- Eat healthy. Add more fruits and vegetables into your diet and try to limit eating foods that are high in calories, sugar, salt and fat.
- Get moving. Make personal goals to get in some type of physical activity each day. Participating in activities you enjoy will help you to stay motivated.
- Quit tobacco. Tobacco smoking is the number one preventable cause of death in the U.S. and the primary cause of COPD and lung cancer.
- Prioritize prevention. Schedule yearly checkups and regular health screenings with your doctor or local health department.
When you make healthier choices and live better, you inspire the people around you to do the same. Men, you matter, your health matters!
